Ophelie Selz is a Swiss multi- and interdisciplinary artist based in London and Geneva.
She turns to the senses to create immersive installations that sit at the crossroads of art, science, and non-intrusive technology. Using sound, electronics, textiles, and olfaction among others, Ophelie explores notions of intimacy, introspection, sensory reminiscences as well as the relationship of humans with the natural world. Analysing the expression of time in environments such as gardens, forests and spiritual places, her installations aim to offer moments of appeasement and a sense of “rootedness”.
In 2019, Ophelie completed vocational training in photography at the School of Applied Arts in Vevey. She then continued her artistic studies in London, where she obtained, in 2023, a BA in Fine Arts with First Class Honours and a diploma in Creative Computing at Camberwell College of Art.
